Kate - A Transformation

Lynn, owner and stylist at Studio Three Salon, came to me again to collaborate on more branding photos for her beauty salon and this time brought her beautiful client, Kate. A very intelligent and well spoken woman, Kate (now at age 70), used to be a Professor and is a current board member for a local organization. She told me she was raised in a family that didn’t put a high value on physical beauty and she didn’t see herself as someone who could pull off a photoshoot for Lynn.

I want to show you Kate’s before and after photos for you to witness her transformation. I believe she had an internal transformation as well in confidence and in the belief that she is indeed as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. It is such a joy for me to show women the beauty that I see in them, especially when they can’t see it themselves and I can surprise them through the pictures I take of them.

We had such a lovely time with Kate, showing her a wonderful photoshoot experience and surprising her with her own magnificence. It was pretty funny because one of the first things that Kate said upon sitting down to get her makeup done by Nikki of Studio Facade was “you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”. Ha! As if. “Kate”, I said, looking her in the eye, “you are NOT a sow’s ear”. And these studio photos make this incredibly obvious….
